Postcards from Camp - Old Stories New Voices Youth Camp

Texas youth are gathering for a week at Fort McKavett to learn about the rich cultural heritage of Texas. "Old Stories, New Voices" provides students the opportunity to experience Native American, Hispanic, African-American and Anglo contributions to the history and culture of Texas!

Hi everyone! We have arrived at camp safe and sound, were sorted into our companies, set up our beds and are now having lots of fun exploring Fort McKavett. It sure is hot but our counselors are reminding us to make sure to drink our H2O! We can't wait for dinner and to start on our journals for the day! Miss Kate will make sure to post our journal entries tonight for everyone to read.

Love,
Your campers
