Texas youth are gathering for a week at Fort McKavett to learn about the rich cultural heritage of Texas. "Old Stories, New Voices" provides students the opportunity to experience Native American, Hispanic, African-American and Anglo contributions to the history and culture of Texas!

Company A

Dear Mom,
Today I saw a lot of old metal and machinery! I really REALLY miss you and James.

Today I made tortillas. I put hot sauce in one of them. People said it is hot, but I don’t think so. We had burritos for breakfast, tacos for lunch, and I don’t know what we are having for dinner. We learned a lot about Hispanic history.

    I see you in alot of pictures..looks like alot of fun. Tomorrow is the camp out day/night and the canoe trip...YEA...I know you'll enjoy that. We all send our love and want you to have the best time...I love your blogs and postcards and I keep looking during the day for pictures.
